Finance Cornwall completed its investment programme on 31st December 2008 in parallel with the planned closure of the 2000-2006 Objective One Programme for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Finance Cornwall is a £20m venture capital and loan fund targeting small and medium-sized enterprises in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly with a range of equity and quasi-equity investments, mezzanine loans and small loans.

Between 2002 and 2008, Finance Cornwall invested £18 million in 135 businesses.  This investment levered an additional £39 million into the Cornish economy, safeguarding 2,000 jobs and creating 500 more.

Finance Cornwall is part-funded by the European Union through the Objective One Programme for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
