| Cornish Sea Salt named O2 X Entrepreneur of the Year |
Cornish Sea Salt, which last year received a six-figure investment package from Finance Cornwall, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year at the national O2 X Awards held in London. Tony Fraser, Founder and MD of Cornish Sea Salt, was presented with a cheque for the top prize of £10,000 at the event, which was also attended by celebrity entrepreneur and popular 'dragon' Duncan Bannatyne. Cornish Sea Salt harvests sea water to manufacture sea salt from its base on the Lizard in Cornwall. The company beat hundreds of other small businesses to scoop this coveted prize. Robert Seymour, Managing Director of Finance Cornwall Fund Managers, said: "It is very gratifying to see a company we have invested in be recognised on the national stage for both the quality of its product and the innovation behind it. We are delighted to be supporting Cornish Sea Salt through its current - and future - success."
